All new developments require SAP or SBEM Calculations and Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs) under Building Regulations Approved Documents L1 & L2 (2006). This is a detailed measurement of overall energy efficiency of the property.
We are qualified and insured to carry out these calculations on new homes, conversions, extensions & commercial buildings.
As we are totally independent we can provide impartial advice and assessments to architects, developers, builders, surveyors and other property professionals. On completion of the property we are also accredited to convert our calculations into Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs).

Display Energy Certificates (DECs)
Display Energy Certificates (DECs) are required for public buildings with a total useful floor area over 1,000m2 that are occupied by a public authority or other institution providing a public service. They show the actual energy usage of a building, known as the Operational Rating, and help the public see it’s energy efficiency. This is based on the actual energy consumption of the building as recorded by gas, electricity and other meters. The DEC should be prominently displayed at all times and clearly visible to the public. A DEC is also accompanied by an Advisory Report that lists cost effective measures to improve the energy rating of the property. We are fully qualified and accredited to provide Display Energy Certificates for public authorities and also for private organisations who want to assess the energy efficiency of their buildings against a similar benchmark property. This information is extremely useful in assessing the effect of energy saving measures. Please call us for further information.
